The Estimates Committee of Parliament, in its 47th Report (1967-68), recommended the setting up of a Services Selection Commission for conducting examinations to recruit staffs for central government departments. Government of India decided to constitute a Subordinate Services Commission under an Executive Resolution in November, 1975. It was renamed as Staff Selection Commission (SSC) on September 26, 1977.

Name of the Posts:
- Technical Superintendent (Weaving) – 07 Posts
- Technical Superintendent (Processing) – 05 Posts
- Textile Designer – 03 Posts
Qualification:
- Technical Superintendent (Weaving) – The candidate should be passed Bachelor’s degree in Textile Technology/ Diploma in Handloom Technology/ Handloom and Textile Technology or equivalent
- Technical Superintendent (Processing) – The candidate should be passed Bachelor’s degree in Textile Processing/ Textile Chemistry/ Engineering or equivalent
- Textile Designer – The candidate should be passed Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design/ Fine Arts with Textile Design or equivalent
Age Limit: The candidate age not exceeding 30 years. Upper age limit for SC/ST/PWD applicable as per Govt. guidelines
Pay Scale: Rs. 9,300-34,800/- with Grade pay Rs. 4,200/- per month
Selection Procedure: The selection procedure will be made on the performance in Skill test / Screen test/ Document Verification/ computer Proficiency.
